The Art of Silk: Why Mulberry Matters
Silk has been a symbol of luxury for millennia, but the difference between ordinary silk and the mulberry silk we use is profound.
Mulberry silk is produced by silkworms fed exclusively on mulberry leaves, yielding the longest, finest and most uniform fibres in the world. The result is a fabric with a natural sheen, a cool hand-feel and a strength that belies its delicacy.
At EDORA, every silk piece is cut on the bias where the design allows, so the fabric moves with the body rather than against it. It is slower to make, and more demanding of the maker — but the difference is one you feel the moment it touches the skin.
